Expertise in care of Psychiatric care, Diabetes, Heart failure, and Chronic obstructive. Pulmonary disease. Profound knowledge in diagnoses, treatment and management of chronic disease and psychiatric disorders. Dr. Odilia Kwateng is a Family Nurse Practitioner, board-certified by the American Academy Nurse Credentialing Center. Dr. Kwateng is licensed by the state of Arizona, Colorado and Utah to provide family-centered healthcare to patients of all ages. Dr. Kwateng’s scope of practice encompasses health promotion, IV therapy, disease prevention, diagnosis and management of common and complex health care problems, starting from birth and continuing throughout the aging process. Kwateng has accumulated nearly twenty-four years of nursing experience and education in various areas of patient care.

 

 

 

 

Dr. Yakima Young-Shields, APRN, ANP-BC, Ed.D

Board Certified Nurse Practitioner

 

  

Yakima Young-Shields is an Adult-Geriatric Nurse Practitioner.  She retired from her teaching appointment at University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Nursing in June 2016, and from SSM Primary Care in September 2016.  Currently, Dr. Young-Shields works with the VA and Geriatric populations through SSM.   
 
Dr. Young-Shields has a Doctorate of Education and Master of Science in Nursing from University of Missouri-St. Louis, and a Bachelor of Science Nursing degree from Webster University.  Her clinical research interests include Type 2 Diabetes in Adult and Aging Populations, Alzheimer’s Disease, Issues in Aging, Hypertension,  Rheumatology/Autoimmune Disorders, and PTSD in Female Veterans.
